Review - We All Fall Down ~ Quills and Daggers - Part Two by Carver Pike

We All Fall Down
Quills and Daggers - Part two
Carver Pike
5++++ STARS

So do we find out who SIMPLE SIMON is?  Well I'm sorry to say I'm not gonna tell you. You all have to suffer (in such a good freaking way) through this book to find out just like I did.  Your brain should be spinning in a million kazillion ways like mine was! I think it's only fair.

Carver Pike...an evil genius! I don't know whether to fall to my knees and bow down or run for the hills.  We All Fall Down will have your head so confused you don't know what to do with yourself. Loved every crazy, scared, gorey and sexy minute of it.  The scenes were described in such a fashion that you felt like you were right their witnessing the murders taking place.  Addicted from page one.

I think I cried a little at the end. I didn't want the book to end. Just so amazing! This is my first time experiencing one of Carver Pike's books and I am 100% hooked and need more.  From page one I was holding my breathe - still completely puzzled as to who Simple Simon is.  You thought you knew the answer but then someone would say or do something and you would question it all over again.  I felt like this book was a complete MindF@ck. It has you questioning everything you think you know.  Just pure evil genius that Carver Pike is!

John Does are given names! Pieces of the puzzle come into place! And then BAM - do we find out who SIMPLE SIMON IS? Maybe but you'll have to read it to find out.

Bitter sweet...
Bitter sweet...
Bitter sweet...

I have been addicted to The Collective since the very first book and have been blown away by each book thereafter.  Each book giving you more clues as to who Simple Simon could be - I even resorted to taking notes in a small notebook to keep track of things I thought were important (I told ya I am completely addicted).  Just an amazing array of Authors that have come together to form The Collective.  Each bring their own style to the table that when combined together is outstanding.  I bow down to each and everyone of you.

I don't think a better book could've been written for the ending of season one (I'm kinda hoping their is gonna be a season two).  Totally bitter sweet for me.  Carver Pike, I have once again been left SPEECHLESS (even though I've had lots of things to say above).  Just a perfect ending.

This is the 10th and final book in season one of The Collective. You MUST read book 1 before reading book 2 (and it's definitely beneficial to read the other books in The Collective if you want to be able to pick up on all the breadcrumbs left throughout the series).

Ring around the rosy. Pocket full of posies. Ashes…ashes…WE ALL FALL DOWN.

I was giving the city something it so desperately needed. Something it hadn’t had in a long time. Something that wouldn’t allow people to prance around in the late night hours, doing whatever they wanted to, without any worry about the darkness all around them. I became a serial killer. A monster for the city to blame all its problems on. I could have simply carried a pistol and put a paper bag over my head and found couples making out in cars. Or I could have brought young boys to my home and drugged them and performed sexual acts on them before eating them. I could have dressed like a clown and buried young men beneath my house. Yet, I was no Zodiac, Dahmer, or Gacy.

I became Simple Simon who met the pie man. You know how the nursery rhyme goes. It made sense. I hated pumpkin pie yet it was the one thing that my foster family and I had in common. So I used it. As silly as it might seem, I decided to create my own sick treats out of the bodies of my victims.

Kevin is a stuttering tattoo artist struggling to make sense of a cruel world and the loneliness enveloping him. Simple Simon is a cold blooded killer stalking the streets of San Francisco. In the final book of Season 1 of The Collective, step inside two personalities, two fractured minds, and discover the demons lurking in the darkness.

This is the sequel to Quills and Daggers by my alter ego, erotic romance author Chris Genovese. It’s also book 10 in The Collective, a series of standalone novellas where the characters from the different books intertwine and are all part of the big city terrorized by Simple Simon and his trail of dead bodies. You’ll get much more out of this book if you read the entire 10-book series, but Quills and Daggers 1 and Quills and Daggers 2: We All Fall Down are companion books. You must read the first one.
