Raised On It by Lisa Shelby IS LIVE!

It's Live!!!

Raised On It

By Lisa Shelby

“I’m going to marry you one day.” A deep voice says from the barstool next to me.

It all happened so fast.

A week ago, romance writer, Mason O’Brien was at a party on the Upper Eastside. Tonight, she’s eating alone at the only bar in the tiny town of Eastlyn, Oregon.

A spur of the moment decision to swap houses with a new friend landed Mason in Smalltown, USA in search of inspiration for her latest story.

As if she'd landed between the pages of one of her books, the town of Eastlyn came complete with a charming sandy-haired farm boy with a reputation. Mason has known men like Miles Montgomery before and she has no intention of becoming another notch on his or anyone else's bedpost.

When Miles makes it his mission to be Mason’s unofficial tour guide she finds her walls beginning to crumble as she discovers what lies beneath his charming exterior. If she’s not careful she’ll be leaving Eastlyn with a broken heart three months from now.

Raised On It: A Between the Pines Novel is a contemporary small-town romance. Each book in the Between the Pines Series can be read as a standalone.

Raised On It by Lisa Shelby
5++++++ STARS

OMG...Raised On It by Lisa Shelby (who I absolutely love btw) was amazing and I fell in love with everything about the book and the people in it.   We are going to start off by staying that I have claimed Miles so if you have or have not read the book yet just know that Miles is MINE and I am not sharing him with anyone.  I have #claimedthefarmboy and no one can take him from me.  Ok, now that we have gotten that straight and out of the way, Raised On It is a sweet, loving, hometown story about finding your "one" when you really aren't even looking.  Have you ever felt "crackle" when you meet someone?  Well, Miles feels a "crackle" between him and a woman he sees in a bar one evening and before he even gets her name tells her straight out that "he is going to marry her one day".  This begins the pursuit of Mason and trying to gain her trust.  Miles is straightforward, cocky, funny, caring, selfless, a true farm boy at heart, and will go above and beyond for anyone and puts people before himself.  Do you see why he is MINE and why I am not sharing?  I truly fell in love with Miles and Mason.

Lisa Shelby once again has created a wonderful world that I wish I could be apart of.  I mean I would totally fit right in with "The Crew" and I guess I could learn to like beer - if having Miles in my life would mean drinking beer I could take one for the team  (sorry Mason).  Raised On It focuses on FAMILY and Miles goal was to break down the walls Mason carried with her to see that he could be her FAMILY.

I absolutely loved Raised On It and would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
Lisa Shelby has once again outdone herself.

Life's stresses...just read....

Life these days is tough...
We are all under a lot of stress...
What if anything are you doing to help alleviate the stress?

For me, my stress reliever is reading.  There have been times within the past couple of weeks where I want to read to escape reality but my brain wants nothing to do with it.  It makes me sad at times as I usually devour at least two or three books a week and keep my blog up-to-date daily with book posts but something has just been off.  I do have a lot on my plate but I wish it didn't affect my reading.  I am sure I am not alone and is it really the end of the world that my brain won't let me read in the long scheme of things....probably not but it still makes me sad.

I love finding new authors,  I love rereading books that I loved.  I love messaging authors and either telling them how much I loved the book or yelling and screaming at them for what happened in the book.  Some of my friends to this day still can't believe that I message the author directly - they just don't get it I think.  I finished an ARC by Lisa Shelby over the weekend and I am still in a book hangover from reading The End but I did jump right into my next read which is A Woman's Touch by Delaney Foster.  I can't wait to tell you all about it so stay tuned for a new blog post about it this week.

What are you reading?  Anything good that I should be one-clicking?  As much as I love sharing books with you all, I am just as guilty as one-clicking 99.9% of the books that I share.  I have a serious one-click problem that if my husband only knew I would probably be cut off completely from everything.  I have more books than I can count on my kindle but when it's time to read a book (when I don't have an ARC or a book I have that I've been dying to read) I don't want to read any of the books there so I go and one-click more books.  I can't be the only one who does this!  It's a serious problem and I think we all could use a bookaholic support group or we can just embrace who we are and just ignore that there may or may not be a problem.

Let's stay positive in this crazy world that we are currently in and know that we will be ok.  Grab a book and a cup of coffee and go escape into the wonderful world the Authors create for us.

Thank you for stopping by...
Till Next Time.....

Love - E

Serenity is an illusion

Dear Reader,

I trust this letter finds you well.

It is with the utmost concern that we invite you to join us at the infamous Serenity Institute.
You’ll be able to observe the goings-on of the asylum,
meet the patients and the doctors. We do however ask that you please be quiet.
Do not interact with the patients, and respect the special treatments our doctors administer.

This is where nightmares come alive.
A home for the shattered psyche of its patients.
Hope is lost when they cross the threshold.

The deranged. The demented. The unstable.
Six stories, six authors, non-stop madness.

Kind regards,
The Authors

Review Time - Check it out!!!

I love being a blogger...

Escaping reality is my happy place...

Today's post is brought to you by the Mom who is ultimately exhausted from being a mom, a wife, a homeschool teacher, housekeeper, chef, and still working basically full time from home - oh did I forget I am also in school working on trying to finally get my bachelor's degree.  Do we think I have enough on my plate?  It's all good I am taking it in stride and day by day but damn if I am not exhausted and truly living on coffee.  I need to patent an IV that dispenses coffee - I could become a millionaire.

Ok, rant time over...
Let's talk books...

I had the pleasure of reading an ARC of Raised On It by Lisa Shelby (who I absolutely love btw) and fell in love with everything about the book and the people in it.

A total ringer.....

How the heck is everyone?
Are you surviving in this crazy world that we are currently living in?
How are you holding up?

I for one am almost at my breaking point possibly, maybe, who really knows.  I still feel like I never know what day it is and time doesn't seem to even exist anymore.  In a blink of an eye, it is 6pm and everyone is crying that they are once again HUNGRY and want more food.  I swear I have never fed my kids as much as I have since we have been stuck in the house.  They are either bored so they are eating, growing like weeds, or just saying they are hungry because they know it drives me crazy.

LET'S  GET TO THE GOOD STUFF AND TALK BOOKS.....

What should we talk about?  How about the Wounded Soul's MC Series.  Like OMG, I am so glad that I found Leah Sharelle and her kick-ass men and even more kick-ass women.  I mean you truly can't have dropped dead gorgeous ALPHA MEN without the ladies who bring those men to their knees.  (Just got all hot and bothered over here....sorry).

So this week I read THE END on Book Six of Leah Sharelle's Wounded Soul's series and let me tell you I didn't want it to end.  I fell in love with each and every one of the characters that Leah created.  I even cried a time or two because my heart did break for ________ (read to find out who).  I get why it was done but it still makes me sad when a character you love ends up dying (crap I hope I didn't spoil something for anyone).  Ok anyway, back to the story....this was the perfect escape from reality.  I  should have been doing so many other things than reading like cleaning my house or doing my own homework but I would grab my kindle and curl up on the couch or my bed and just escape into the world that Leah created with the Wounded Soul's MC.  I am a little said that I read the words THE END on the last book but let me tell you Shilloh is still my number one girl and I am so glad we got her book.

The men of the Wounded Soul's and their women are everything and then some.  I truly enjoyed every book.    Definitely check them out.  I have attached the links below.  If you one-click let me know.

What day is it?

Does anyone else not know what day of the week
it is at any given time?

The days seem to just blur into each other...

Let's start off with book talk.....

I'm still reading The Wounded Souls series by Leah Sharelle and loving every minute of it.  I am so excited that I found her.  It is so hard being a blogger and seeing all the amazing book covers, blurb, and buy links posted all the time under the teaser posts I do for the blog.  I really have no control over my one-click finger and have been known to buys books just from the book cover alone - you can ask my BFF this as she yells at me all the time to stop one-clicking but some of the best books I have read have been purchased without reading the blurb or even knowing what the book was about.  My top "blind" book that I read is Whispers and the Roars by K. Webster.  Another blogger recommended the book but said you had to read it blind - well being the book whore that I am I took that challenge and read the book and OH MY - what a read.  Well, I just went to try and find my review for the book and it seems either I didn't write one (which is odd in and of itself), I wrote the review and never posted it (which happens occasionally), or I wrote the review/posted the review and it was deleted.  I have to go back into my notes folder and see if I have the review - this will drive me crazy now.

Anyway, I kinda got off track there for a minute.
 #sorrynotsorry
I did tell you in previous posts that I am losing my mind with this whole quarantine, work from home, homeschooling, and my own damn school work thing.  Here is kinda the only thing keeping me sane.

Ok, now back to my original thought.....
I have a tendency of one-clicking books for no particular reason at all.  If someone recommends a book, I one-click.  If I see a book cover that grabs my attention and has me saying I want to know more....I one-click.  Just browsing the teaser posts for my blog I find myself wanting to one-click the books I plan to share to you all on the blog.  To say I have a one-click problem is a complete understatement.  It is a problem and if my husband only knew how much money I have spent on books we might not be married anymore - wait....oh nevermind.

I promise, I really am not losing my mind.  I might be close but I am not there yet.  What kind of books do you like to read?  What would you like to see more of on the blog?  Did you know that I also have a book group on Facebook where we can chat from everything books to just general everyday stuff?  It's called ChasingBooksTogether and I would love for you to join.  The link will be below.  It kinda has been on a hiatus like the rest of my life but we are slowly getting things back on track so come on and join us and let's see if we can start a conversation.

That is all for today.  Thanks for catching up with me and we shall chat next time.....

REV

Raised in a strict Orthodox Jewish background, I defied my family by joining the military instead of attending Rabbinical School. Further, I joined an MC upon my return and raised the ranks to become the President.

I rule my club with an iron fist. Behind closed doors, I need to be controlled. Will Gabriella be the one to end my search? Will she be able to ignore the unethical things my club does and still control me the way I need?

GABRIELLA

I should be a lawyer, but the old school firm that I work for only seems to see me as the top paralegal. I love control and I’m not getting it at work no matter hard I try.

I’ve been in the underground world that most think is sexual deviance. But up to now, even that has been lackluster. I’ve never been able to find the right submissive. One that is strong and can test me but ultimately submit to me. Will Rev be the man that gives me what I need?
