What day is it?

Does anyone else not know what day of the week
it is at any given time?

The days seem to just blur into each other...

Let's start off with book talk.....

I'm still reading The Wounded Souls series by Leah Sharelle and loving every minute of it.  I am so excited that I found her.  It is so hard being a blogger and seeing all the amazing book covers, blurb, and buy links posted all the time under the teaser posts I do for the blog.  I really have no control over my one-click finger and have been known to buys books just from the book cover alone - you can ask my BFF this as she yells at me all the time to stop one-clicking but some of the best books I have read have been purchased without reading the blurb or even knowing what the book was about.  My top "blind" book that I read is Whispers and the Roars by K. Webster.  Another blogger recommended the book but said you had to read it blind - well being the book whore that I am I took that challenge and read the book and OH MY - what a read.  Well, I just went to try and find my review for the book and it seems either I didn't write one (which is odd in and of itself), I wrote the review and never posted it (which happens occasionally), or I wrote the review/posted the review and it was deleted.  I have to go back into my notes folder and see if I have the review - this will drive me crazy now.

Anyway, I kinda got off track there for a minute.
 #sorrynotsorry
I did tell you in previous posts that I am losing my mind with this whole quarantine, work from home, homeschooling, and my own damn school work thing.  Here is kinda the only thing keeping me sane.

Ok, now back to my original thought.....
I have a tendency of one-clicking books for no particular reason at all.  If someone recommends a book, I one-click.  If I see a book cover that grabs my attention and has me saying I want to know more....I one-click.  Just browsing the teaser posts for my blog I find myself wanting to one-click the books I plan to share to you all on the blog.  To say I have a one-click problem is a complete understatement.  It is a problem and if my husband only knew how much money I have spent on books we might not be married anymore - wait....oh nevermind.

I promise, I really am not losing my mind.  I might be close but I am not there yet.  What kind of books do you like to read?  What would you like to see more of on the blog?  Did you know that I also have a book group on Facebook where we can chat from everything books to just general everyday stuff?  It's called ChasingBooksTogether and I would love for you to join.  The link will be below.  It kinda has been on a hiatus like the rest of my life but we are slowly getting things back on track so come on and join us and let's see if we can start a conversation.

That is all for today.  Thanks for catching up with me and we shall chat next time.....

REV

Raised in a strict Orthodox Jewish background, I defied my family by joining the military instead of attending Rabbinical School. Further, I joined an MC upon my return and raised the ranks to become the President.

I rule my club with an iron fist. Behind closed doors, I need to be controlled. Will Gabriella be the one to end my search? Will she be able to ignore the unethical things my club does and still control me the way I need?

GABRIELLA

I should be a lawyer, but the old school firm that I work for only seems to see me as the top paralegal. I love control and I’m not getting it at work no matter hard I try.

I’ve been in the underground world that most think is sexual deviance. But up to now, even that has been lackluster. I’ve never been able to find the right submissive. One that is strong and can test me but ultimately submit to me. Will Rev be the man that gives me what I need?

Admit it...I can't be the only one!

Today's post is brought to you by.....

Admit it...I can't be the only one!

I can't be the only one who reads naughty books...
I can't be the only one who has kids and a husband who drive her crazy but don't know what I would do without them...
I can't be the only one trying to juggle thirty thousand things at once and get nothing accomplished...
The list could go on and on and on....the struggle is real but...
I can't be the only one...

Ok so rant over....

Let's talk books....

Books are my escape from reality.  My happy place most of the time.  For a short period of time, I am able to escape into the world the author has created and just be.  Now sometimes I want to jump in the book and yell at the characters because they are being asses or I want to message the author and yell and scream for them killing the man I loved.  Oh, the drama of having book boyfriends.

So, I am currently engrossed in The Wounded  Souls Series by Leah Sharelle.  I am working on book four now and absolutely love the men, their women, and a special little girl named Shilloh.  I have a feeling I am going to be in a book funk once I read the last book in this series.  It is an MC series but not your typical MC style book with bad guys and guns and drugs.  These men of the Wounded Souls MC are prior military men all who have faced some hardship in one way or another and have formed a comradery by being a part of the Wounded Souls.  I love watching tough, ALPHA men being brought to their knees by strong-willed women.  Stay tuned for my review - I am waiting to write it as I plan to do one big review post and then break it down from there.

Tell me what are you reading now?  Who is your go-to Author that you one-click no matter what they write?   Comment below and let's talk...

Now as my seven-year-old would say:  Click that subscribe button, give me a huge thumbs up.

Be safe everyone and I will talk to you soon.

REVIEW: Calla’s Kitchen by Teresa Crumpton

Calla’s Kitchen
Teresa Crumpton
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start off by saying this book made me very hungry while reading.  I mean seriously they were always cooking in the kitchen of Belladonna and the food sounded amazing!!!

Besides the fact that I really did want to smack Calla a time or two throughout this book I truly loved her and
Wes.  Best Friends who struggle with their attraction to
each other - What could possibly go wrong?

I loved getting to know a little bit about Calla in Donut Leave Me and fell completely in love with her in Calla’s Kitchen.

Poor Miss Calla...my heart ached for her at times but again I also wanted to smack her a few times. I mean seriously I get why she was upset and in a funk but I felt at times she really  just needed to pull up her big girl panties and take control of her life again. The one main thing she totally had going for her was her support system with her friends.  They were there to be her rock while she was crumbling apart.

In Calla’s Kitchen we see how Calla deals with her breakup from her fiancé who she finds in bed with another woman.  Her confidence is shattered and it is not only effecting her daily personal life but also her cooking.  To add more drama to the mix her long time best friend Wes and her have been dancing around each other for years.  Will the two be able to sort out issues and finally be together?

Teresa Crumpton has definitely been added to my one-click Authors list. I was hooked on the story from the beginning all the way through and can’t wait for the next book. A 5 star read in my book

Calla Bond needs a rebound, and unfortunately so does her cooking. The chef and restaurateur lost her edge right about the time she found her fiance in bed with another woman. For the last year, the only thing saving her restaurant has been her family of friends willing to pick up the slack while she nursed a deeply broken heart. Now, however, Calla’s nearly out of credit with her closest pals, and they’re determined to help her heal her spirit and find her cooking mojo again.
Wes Westminster adores Calla, but his close relationship with Calla’s brother – not to mention Calla’s engagement – has ensured the two have been strictly friends. Even now, with no fiance in his way, Wes isn’t ready to jeopardize both of those friendships just to pursue the girl of his dreams. But Wes will have to make peace with his inner conflict soon, because Calla’s restaurant family is setting her up, and Wes is the one pushing her to move on.
Calla’s Kitchen may be read and enjoyed as a standalone contemporary romance!

REVIEW: Claiming Tuesday ~ By Riley Edwards

Claiming Tuesday
By: Riley Edwards
5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When a man is on a mission he is going to let nothing stop him until he gets the end results that he wants.....

Riley Edwards has once again blown me away. I am so in love with The Next Generation boys and just when I think I can’t love another one more Riley brings us a new book.  Claiming Tuesday is everything and then some.  The story is all consuming and I devoured it and I truly mean devoured it within hours of starting. I was at the point that I didn’t want the story to end but I needed to keep reading because I was  so engrossed in the story.

Jackson is a man that I wish could be mine.  He is compassionate. He is all Alpha male with a soft side thrown in.  He is hot and sexy. He is possessive.  At the end of the day he is a true sweetheart and my heart swooned numerous times throughout Claiming Tuesday.

Now onto my poor Tuesday.  The girl had my heart aching for her from the beginning.  She has a kind soul but very few know the true her.  Her past is something she truly wants to forget but it still haunts her to this day.  The strength this girl had amazed me and I was cheering for her throughout even when she was being mean and unreasonable to sweet Jackson.

Tuesday is the game changer for Jackson.  When Jackson first sees Tuesday at a family gathering he knows his world has just changed.  Jackson’s pursuit of Tuesday is challenging none the less.  She is pushing him away and he is pushing her to open up and let him in.  The back and forth banter is comical at times and heartbreaking at others.  Throw in a twist and some suspense and Claiming Tuesday will leave you wanting more.

Claiming Tuesday nearly broke me.  Again I was so addicted to it that I didn’t want it to end.  Then don’t get me started on the ending.   Riley, you have me very intrigued about poor Delaney.   I need the next book STAT!!!

{ 2018 Books In Review }

{ 2018 Books In Review }

I seriously don't even know where to begin with telling you all what my favorite reads of 2018 are.  I have read so many good books. From Riley Edwards and her Next Generations series to Chris Genovese and his shark shifter books  to R.B Hillard and her rock star boys to Ellie Masters and Erin Trejo. Oh and how can I forget T.M. Frazier and her Perversion Triology.  Then Jaime Schlosser and Untrainable - god I so needed the laugh and smile that this book brought me.  These are to name just a few of the Authors/books that stood out for me in 2018.  The list could seriously go on and on and on.  I think at the end of the year I will have read over 125 books.  To me working full time, with 2 little kids at home and being a "good" wife that is a lot of damn books to read in one year - to say there have been many sleepless nights because of some of these books is a direct understatement.  I should seriously be getting stock in coffee since I drink so damn much of it.

To single out just a few has been a very difficult undertaking as I have loved every single book I have read.  However I did have to choose and have gone through all the books I have read on Goodreads this past year and tried as best as I could to break down my favorite books by month.  (I will leave the link to the blog's Goodreads page at the bottom - feel free to check it out and "friend" us to stay up-to-date on the latest books I am reading.)

So there are the books that I was able to piece down to some of my favorites from 2018.  To say there are not more that could be added is an understatement .  Each book that I read I loved for more reasons that not and couldn't put down 99.9% of the books I read.  To bad real life gets in the way most of the time.  If you ask my kids what I do they will tell you all I do is drink coffee and read - now if only that was true I would totally be living the life. They don't take in to account all the cleaning I do and the laundry and the school work.  I could seriously go on and on.  I hope you take the time to check out some if not all of the books above and if you haven't take a chance on reading a new author to you.  Finding new authors and going in blind have some times turned out to be the best book I have read in a long time.

Ok and Author's please don't be mad at me but this year I am also going to chose the #BOOKCOVER that I have loved the most or that has caught my eye in one way or the other.  Now over the past year if not longer there have been some amazing covers out there.  Honestly all of your covers catch my eye in one way or another - I have been know to buy a book based off the cover and not even knowing what the book is about.  The cover that has caught my attention most is a book that I read this month - yes December 2018 - and by god when I first saw it before the cover reveal day I was just drawn to it and thought it was perfect - without reading the book.  Now after reading the book the cover is even more PERFECT...so without due....my #FAVORITE #BOOKCOVER of 2018 is......

#untrainable #jamieschlooser #chasingthewordsread #favoritebookcoveroftheyear

I want to Thank everyone that has checked out my blog this year and in the year past.  It has grown so much this year and I am hoping for an even better in 2019.  Please share this post and comment with any books that you have read or have one clicked.
I love hearing from everyone.

To each and every Author - without you all my life would be a boring working Mom.  You all allow me time to escape the real world for just a bit and live in the world you created.

Happy New Year To All!
Here is to a wonderful 2019!!!
