REVIEW: Calla’s Kitchen by Teresa Crumpton

Calla’s Kitchen
Teresa Crumpton
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start off by saying this book made me very hungry while reading.  I mean seriously they were always cooking in the kitchen of Belladonna and the food sounded amazing!!!

Besides the fact that I really did want to smack Calla a time or two throughout this book I truly loved her and
Wes.  Best Friends who struggle with their attraction to
each other - What could possibly go wrong?

I loved getting to know a little bit about Calla in Donut Leave Me and fell completely in love with her in Calla’s Kitchen.

Poor Miss Calla...my heart ached for her at times but again I also wanted to smack her a few times. I mean seriously I get why she was upset and in a funk but I felt at times she really  just needed to pull up her big girl panties and take control of her life again. The one main thing she totally had going for her was her support system with her friends.  They were there to be her rock while she was crumbling apart.

In Calla’s Kitchen we see how Calla deals with her breakup from her fiancé who she finds in bed with another woman.  Her confidence is shattered and it is not only effecting her daily personal life but also her cooking.  To add more drama to the mix her long time best friend Wes and her have been dancing around each other for years.  Will the two be able to sort out issues and finally be together?

Teresa Crumpton has definitely been added to my one-click Authors list. I was hooked on the story from the beginning all the way through and can’t wait for the next book. A 5 star read in my book

Calla Bond needs a rebound, and unfortunately so does her cooking. The chef and restaurateur lost her edge right about the time she found her fiance in bed with another woman. For the last year, the only thing saving her restaurant has been her family of friends willing to pick up the slack while she nursed a deeply broken heart. Now, however, Calla’s nearly out of credit with her closest pals, and they’re determined to help her heal her spirit and find her cooking mojo again.
Wes Westminster adores Calla, but his close relationship with Calla’s brother – not to mention Calla’s engagement – has ensured the two have been strictly friends. Even now, with no fiance in his way, Wes isn’t ready to jeopardize both of those friendships just to pursue the girl of his dreams. But Wes will have to make peace with his inner conflict soon, because Calla’s restaurant family is setting her up, and Wes is the one pushing her to move on.
Calla’s Kitchen may be read and enjoyed as a standalone contemporary romance!
