A total ringer.....

How the heck is everyone?
Are you surviving in this crazy world that we are currently living in?
How are you holding up?

I for one am almost at my breaking point possibly, maybe, who really knows.  I still feel like I never know what day it is and time doesn't seem to even exist anymore.  In a blink of an eye, it is 6pm and everyone is crying that they are once again HUNGRY and want more food.  I swear I have never fed my kids as much as I have since we have been stuck in the house.  They are either bored so they are eating, growing like weeds, or just saying they are hungry because they know it drives me crazy.

LET'S  GET TO THE GOOD STUFF AND TALK BOOKS.....

What should we talk about?  How about the Wounded Soul's MC Series.  Like OMG, I am so glad that I found Leah Sharelle and her kick-ass men and even more kick-ass women.  I mean you truly can't have dropped dead gorgeous ALPHA MEN without the ladies who bring those men to their knees.  (Just got all hot and bothered over here....sorry).

So this week I read THE END on Book Six of Leah Sharelle's Wounded Soul's series and let me tell you I didn't want it to end.  I fell in love with each and every one of the characters that Leah created.  I even cried a time or two because my heart did break for ________ (read to find out who).  I get why it was done but it still makes me sad when a character you love ends up dying (crap I hope I didn't spoil something for anyone).  Ok anyway, back to the story....this was the perfect escape from reality.  I  should have been doing so many other things than reading like cleaning my house or doing my own homework but I would grab my kindle and curl up on the couch or my bed and just escape into the world that Leah created with the Wounded Soul's MC.  I am a little said that I read the words THE END on the last book but let me tell you Shilloh is still my number one girl and I am so glad we got her book.

The men of the Wounded Soul's and their women are everything and then some.  I truly enjoyed every book.    Definitely check them out.  I have attached the links below.  If you one-click let me know.

What day is it?

Does anyone else not know what day of the week
it is at any given time?

The days seem to just blur into each other...

Let's start off with book talk.....

I'm still reading The Wounded Souls series by Leah Sharelle and loving every minute of it.  I am so excited that I found her.  It is so hard being a blogger and seeing all the amazing book covers, blurb, and buy links posted all the time under the teaser posts I do for the blog.  I really have no control over my one-click finger and have been known to buys books just from the book cover alone - you can ask my BFF this as she yells at me all the time to stop one-clicking but some of the best books I have read have been purchased without reading the blurb or even knowing what the book was about.  My top "blind" book that I read is Whispers and the Roars by K. Webster.  Another blogger recommended the book but said you had to read it blind - well being the book whore that I am I took that challenge and read the book and OH MY - what a read.  Well, I just went to try and find my review for the book and it seems either I didn't write one (which is odd in and of itself), I wrote the review and never posted it (which happens occasionally), or I wrote the review/posted the review and it was deleted.  I have to go back into my notes folder and see if I have the review - this will drive me crazy now.

Anyway, I kinda got off track there for a minute.
 #sorrynotsorry
I did tell you in previous posts that I am losing my mind with this whole quarantine, work from home, homeschooling, and my own damn school work thing.  Here is kinda the only thing keeping me sane.

Ok, now back to my original thought.....
I have a tendency of one-clicking books for no particular reason at all.  If someone recommends a book, I one-click.  If I see a book cover that grabs my attention and has me saying I want to know more....I one-click.  Just browsing the teaser posts for my blog I find myself wanting to one-click the books I plan to share to you all on the blog.  To say I have a one-click problem is a complete understatement.  It is a problem and if my husband only knew how much money I have spent on books we might not be married anymore - wait....oh nevermind.

I promise, I really am not losing my mind.  I might be close but I am not there yet.  What kind of books do you like to read?  What would you like to see more of on the blog?  Did you know that I also have a book group on Facebook where we can chat from everything books to just general everyday stuff?  It's called ChasingBooksTogether and I would love for you to join.  The link will be below.  It kinda has been on a hiatus like the rest of my life but we are slowly getting things back on track so come on and join us and let's see if we can start a conversation.

That is all for today.  Thanks for catching up with me and we shall chat next time.....

Admit it...I can't be the only one!

Today's post is brought to you by.....

Admit it...I can't be the only one!

I can't be the only one who reads naughty books...
I can't be the only one who has kids and a husband who drive her crazy but don't know what I would do without them...
I can't be the only one trying to juggle thirty thousand things at once and get nothing accomplished...
The list could go on and on and on....the struggle is real but...
I can't be the only one...

Ok so rant over....

Let's talk books....

Books are my escape from reality.  My happy place most of the time.  For a short period of time, I am able to escape into the world the author has created and just be.  Now sometimes I want to jump in the book and yell at the characters because they are being asses or I want to message the author and yell and scream for them killing the man I loved.  Oh, the drama of having book boyfriends.

So, I am currently engrossed in The Wounded  Souls Series by Leah Sharelle.  I am working on book four now and absolutely love the men, their women, and a special little girl named Shilloh.  I have a feeling I am going to be in a book funk once I read the last book in this series.  It is an MC series but not your typical MC style book with bad guys and guns and drugs.  These men of the Wounded Souls MC are prior military men all who have faced some hardship in one way or another and have formed a comradery by being a part of the Wounded Souls.  I love watching tough, ALPHA men being brought to their knees by strong-willed women.  Stay tuned for my review - I am waiting to write it as I plan to do one big review post and then break it down from there.

Tell me what are you reading now?  Who is your go-to Author that you one-click no matter what they write?   Comment below and let's talk...

Now as my seven-year-old would say:  Click that subscribe button, give me a huge thumbs up.

Be safe everyone and I will talk to you soon.

REVIEW: Calla’s Kitchen by Teresa Crumpton

Calla’s Kitchen
Teresa Crumpton
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start off by saying this book made me very hungry while reading.  I mean seriously they were always cooking in the kitchen of Belladonna and the food sounded amazing!!!

Besides the fact that I really did want to smack Calla a time or two throughout this book I truly loved her and
Wes.  Best Friends who struggle with their attraction to
each other - What could possibly go wrong?

I loved getting to know a little bit about Calla in Donut Leave Me and fell completely in love with her in Calla’s Kitchen.

Poor Miss Calla...my heart ached for her at times but again I also wanted to smack her a few times. I mean seriously I get why she was upset and in a funk but I felt at times she really  just needed to pull up her big girl panties and take control of her life again. The one main thing she totally had going for her was her support system with her friends.  They were there to be her rock while she was crumbling apart.

In Calla’s Kitchen we see how Calla deals with her breakup from her fiancé who she finds in bed with another woman.  Her confidence is shattered and it is not only effecting her daily personal life but also her cooking.  To add more drama to the mix her long time best friend Wes and her have been dancing around each other for years.  Will the two be able to sort out issues and finally be together?

Teresa Crumpton has definitely been added to my one-click Authors list. I was hooked on the story from the beginning all the way through and can’t wait for the next book. A 5 star read in my book

Calla Bond needs a rebound, and unfortunately so does her cooking. The chef and restaurateur lost her edge right about the time she found her fiance in bed with another woman. For the last year, the only thing saving her restaurant has been her family of friends willing to pick up the slack while she nursed a deeply broken heart. Now, however, Calla’s nearly out of credit with her closest pals, and they’re determined to help her heal her spirit and find her cooking mojo again.
Wes Westminster adores Calla, but his close relationship with Calla’s brother – not to mention Calla’s engagement – has ensured the two have been strictly friends. Even now, with no fiance in his way, Wes isn’t ready to jeopardize both of those friendships just to pursue the girl of his dreams. But Wes will have to make peace with his inner conflict soon, because Calla’s restaurant family is setting her up, and Wes is the one pushing her to move on.
Calla’s Kitchen may be read and enjoyed as a standalone contemporary romance!

Bite Me Harder ~ By Chris Genovese

Bite Me Harder (A Paranormal Shifter Novel)
(Guardians of the Deep Book 2)
299 Pages
Hosted by Words Turn Me On

Bite me once… shame on you. Bite me twice and you own me.

A lonely shark shifter searching for her happily ever after, a carefree surfer wanting only to ride his next wave, a confident DJ shaken by horrors from her past, and a savage alpha hellbent on revenge. Passion and pain collide as new predators keep the shallow waters off the Queensland coast soaked in blood.

This time, two love stories interweave with action packed into the seams, and if you think wolves dominate the paranormal shifter world, try throwing them into the ocean.

You’ve read werewolves, you’ve sunk your teeth into vampires, and you’ve even danced with dragons, bears, and panthers. But not all paranormal shifters walk on all fours. It’s time to get your feet wet with shark shifters.

Just when I think I couldn’t fall in love with Chris’ writing anymore than I already do he brings us book 2 of his Shark Shifter book. Well hell put a fork in me cause I am so well done it’s not even funny. ~ Chasing The Words Book Blog

HOLY COW!!! I loved this one, even more than the first if that is even possible. I was hooked from the very beginning and there was not a slow point in the book. Which means there is no place to put it down. ~ Heather, Goodreads Reviewer

Another fin-tastic story by Chris Genovese! I didn't think I could love this one more than the first one (Oh, Bite Me), but I was wrong, it was absolutely phenomenal!!! ~ Lynn Stifel

I devoured this book!!.......If you are after a shifter book with something extra special then this is the book you will want to dive right into- with floaties of course :) ~ Chrissi

Oh, Bite Me: Paranormal Dating Agency
(Guardians of the Deep)

Wolves, bears, tigers, and dragons. Shifters come in so many shapes and sizes, but not all alphas are on dry land.

Thane patrols the water off the coast of Australia, making sure a school of rebel sharks doesn’t attack human tourists. Selflessly putting himself in harm’s way means little time trying to find his one true mate.

Penny has sworn off dating after meeting the wrong kind of shifter—the douchebag kind with a nasty temper. However, a chance encounter while on vacation in Australia finds her sitting by the pool next to Geraldine Wilder, supernatural matchmaking guru. In typical Gerri style, she’s having none of that “love isn’t for me” nonsense.

Now, with the Paranormal Dating Agency in her corner, will Penny finally have a chance at her happily ever after? Will she find what she’s been looking for in Thane, the flirtatious stranger she meets on a party cruise? Or will she find herself in deep, dangerous water?

This is a tiger shark shifter story. Be prepared to get wet.

Chris Genovese is a male romance and erotica author who often writes from the female perspective. He has a passion for writing sensual tales that take the average woman (or man) and place them in erotic positions. Life isn't prude so why should we be? If you're under the age of 18, or if you get offended easily, please don't purchase these books. If you're ready to be entertained, aroused, and brought to emotional climax then please do.

Carver Pike is my darker, more twisted alter ego . Where Chris tends to write erotic comedies, poetry, and other fun but sexy tales, Carver likes to stick a knife in it and wiggle it around. If you're looking for horror and dark fantasy with an erotic twist, you've come to the right man. Who new scary could be so sexy?
