Admit it...I can't be the only one!

Today's post is brought to you by.....

Admit it...I can't be the only one!

I can't be the only one who reads naughty books...
I can't be the only one who has kids and a husband who drive her crazy but don't know what I would do without them...
I can't be the only one trying to juggle thirty thousand things at once and get nothing accomplished...
The list could go on and on and on....the struggle is real but...
I can't be the only one...

Ok so rant over....

Let's talk books....

Books are my escape from reality.  My happy place most of the time.  For a short period of time, I am able to escape into the world the author has created and just be.  Now sometimes I want to jump in the book and yell at the characters because they are being asses or I want to message the author and yell and scream for them killing the man I loved.  Oh, the drama of having book boyfriends.

So, I am currently engrossed in The Wounded  Souls Series by Leah Sharelle.  I am working on book four now and absolutely love the men, their women, and a special little girl named Shilloh.  I have a feeling I am going to be in a book funk once I read the last book in this series.  It is an MC series but not your typical MC style book with bad guys and guns and drugs.  These men of the Wounded Souls MC are prior military men all who have faced some hardship in one way or another and have formed a comradery by being a part of the Wounded Souls.  I love watching tough, ALPHA men being brought to their knees by strong-willed women.  Stay tuned for my review - I am waiting to write it as I plan to do one big review post and then break it down from there.

Tell me what are you reading now?  Who is your go-to Author that you one-click no matter what they write?   Comment below and let's talk...

Now as my seven-year-old would say:  Click that subscribe button, give me a huge thumbs up.

Be safe everyone and I will talk to you soon.

It's been a while....

Hey!

How the hell is everyone?

Since September 2019 my life has been pretty hectic due to deciding I was going to finally go back to school to get my Bachelor's degree and help further my career along at the same time as working full time and having a family at home.  Welcome to FUN TIMES at my house.  My blog, unfortunately, had to be put on the back burner so that I could focus on everything else.

WELL, I am here today to let you know that I am back and hopefully back with avenges!!!

Today, April 14th, 2020 we in a very weird world right now.  We are all affected in one way or another by the COVID-19 and are confined to our homes unless we truly need to go out for essential needs.  I like I am sure many others are is working from home while also trying to homeschool my daughters.  Oh, and don't forget I have to find time to do my own school work as well.  As of this moment 6:25pm on the 14th I should be studying for my mid-term that I have tomorrow on American Government but nope I am here typing this blog post because I can't focus on studying.  I have also waited until the last minute to study and feel that I know nothing so we are just going to wing it too.  I also can't focus because I just had a lovely argument with my hormonal 12-year-old and ended up taking away her cell phone from her after I was called many "LOVELY" names.  BTW - the whole neighborhood probably heard because we were loud and everyone is home because we are all SOCIAL DISTANCING OURSELVES.

So there we have it.  I am a Mom who is on the verge of a mental breakdown and needs her book-loving friends to help relieve some of this unnecessary stress.

Last night I started reading a book by an author that is new to me - His Sweetness by Leah Sharelle - and let me tell you I only got chapter 2 and I am hooked.  I mean a single Dad with a little girl who has a mouth and attitude like her Daddy.  My heart swooned for the man and the little girl made me giggle.  She is too damn cute I mean come on how can you not think she is the cutest when she says stuff like "Jesus, Daddy.  I's did tell you 'bout it at brekkie."  I mean come on brekkie - too freaking cute. Besides little Shiloh, the book has caught my attention and I can't wait to get into the story more.

Let's get this party started.  I need you to give this blog here a follow so you can stay up to date with all of my awesomeness that comes from my crazy-ass mind - remember I am going crazy these days. days and also so you can get some recommendations for some kick-ass books because we all know everyone needs more books.  I mean come on I have at least 300 plus books on my kindle that I haven't read yet but I still went and one-clicked a book last night because none on my kindle was what I wanted to read.  I also would love, love, love it if you could share my blog posts with the world.  It would kinda make me a happy girl.

As my 7-year-old would say "click that subscribes button, turn on notifications and give me a huge thumbs up"

Comment below and let me know what is happening in your life and if you are reading anything good that we all should know about.

Till Next Time......

About the Author
T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier never dreamed that a single person would ever read a word she wrote when she published her first book. Now, she is a five-time USA Today bestselling author and her books have been translated into numerous languages and published all around the world. T.M. enjoys writing what she calls sexy‘wrongside of the tracks romance’ with morally corrupt anti-heroes and ballsy heroines. Her books have been described as raw, dark and gritty. Basically, what that means, is while some authors are great at describing a flower as it blooms, T.M. is better at describing it in the final stages of decay. She loves meeting her readers, but if you see her at an event please don’t pinch her because she's not ready to wake up from this amazing dream.

REVIEW: Calla’s Kitchen by Teresa Crumpton

Calla’s Kitchen
Teresa Crumpton
5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start off by saying this book made me very hungry while reading.  I mean seriously they were always cooking in the kitchen of Belladonna and the food sounded amazing!!!

Besides the fact that I really did want to smack Calla a time or two throughout this book I truly loved her and
Wes.  Best Friends who struggle with their attraction to
each other - What could possibly go wrong?

I loved getting to know a little bit about Calla in Donut Leave Me and fell completely in love with her in Calla’s Kitchen.

Poor Miss Calla...my heart ached for her at times but again I also wanted to smack her a few times. I mean seriously I get why she was upset and in a funk but I felt at times she really  just needed to pull up her big girl panties and take control of her life again. The one main thing she totally had going for her was her support system with her friends.  They were there to be her rock while she was crumbling apart.

In Calla’s Kitchen we see how Calla deals with her breakup from her fiancΓ© who she finds in bed with another woman.  Her confidence is shattered and it is not only effecting her daily personal life but also her cooking.  To add more drama to the mix her long time best friend Wes and her have been dancing around each other for years.  Will the two be able to sort out issues and finally be together?

Teresa Crumpton has definitely been added to my one-click Authors list. I was hooked on the story from the beginning all the way through and can’t wait for the next book. A 5 star read in my book

Calla Bond needs a rebound, and unfortunately so does her cooking. The chef and restaurateur lost her edge right about the time she found her fiance in bed with another woman. For the last year, the only thing saving her restaurant has been her family of friends willing to pick up the slack while she nursed a deeply broken heart. Now, however, Calla’s nearly out of credit with her closest pals, and they’re determined to help her heal her spirit and find her cooking mojo again.
Wes Westminster adores Calla, but his close relationship with Calla’s brother – not to mention Calla’s engagement – has ensured the two have been strictly friends. Even now, with no fiance in his way, Wes isn’t ready to jeopardize both of those friendships just to pursue the girl of his dreams. But Wes will have to make peace with his inner conflict soon, because Calla’s restaurant family is setting her up, and Wes is the one pushing her to move on.
Calla’s Kitchen may be read and enjoyed as a standalone contemporary romance!
